What if steampunk sensibility had reached the shores of Japan at the same time that locomotives did? Those in the land of the rising sun might have come up with something like this.... In this workshop you'll learn how to light up your origami with inexpensive household materials and a couple of science-kit extras. Admittedly, we'll be using MUCH smaller batteries than your average Victorian (or Meiji-era lord) had access to (but you and I know they're really powered by the greatest miniaturized engines ever created). Students will be handling washi and rice papers, glue, foil and science!
All materials needed will be supplied; workshop fee is $5.00. Sign up at the front desk; class is currently limited to 10 students (this may open up further as supplies and assistance dictate).

All materials needed will be supplied; workshop fee is $15.00. Sign up at the front desk; class is limited to 15 students.
